Sunday Song - Fathers Day - June 20th 2010

Fathers Day is celebrated in the UK today and although my Dad is no longer with us in person 9 Aug 1924 - 3 Dec 2006 he is still very much with me in spirit so I have decided to make my Sunday Song post this week a Tribute to My Special Dad.   In Memory of Dads gone but not forgotten.

Happy Fathers Day.         Family Photo Tuscania April 2005

Even if you are not celebrating today I hope you will enjoy this selection of songs and be able to reflect on happy memories of time spent with your Fathers whether no longer of this earth or happily still with you.

In Italy Festa del Papa was celebrated on the 19th March 2010.  Fathers Day is in fact celebrated on many different dates around the world as you can see if you take a look at this chart.

  8. I love this post Linda. I have actually got the Pavarotti music playing as I am writing this. I forgot that it was father's day on the weekend as we celebrate it in September here in Australia.

I hope your day on Sunday was lovely and thanks for sharing these wonderful songs in memory of your father.

Best wishes for a beautiful week,
    Natasha.
